After successful performances in New York City and Miami, the Opera Moments Series comes to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Scenes from five well-known operas comprise the program: the first act from Donizetti's masterpiece Don Pasquale, a scene from I Pagliacci that includes the heart-wrenching tenor aria Vesti la giubba, a tender scene from Gianni Schicchi, and the first act duet from La Bohème. A vision of the life of Violetta Valéry, through the eyes of Annina, her faithful servant and companion, concludes the program, in a series of pivotal scenes from La Traviata.
Artists include, in order of appearance, sopranos Giselle Elgarresta Ríos, Nicole Bequer, Nathalie Avila, and Marinel Cruz; mezzo-soprano Greisel Domínguez; tenors Sergio Navarro, José Antonio Navarro, Kunya Rowles, Matthew Maness; baritones Giancarlo Brunet and Carlos Jimeno; and bass-baritone Jorge Arcila, accompanied by Daniel Daroca and Félix Spengler. Featuring both seasoned and emerging talents, this varied program is sure to please opera lovers and the general public.
